Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Senior Research Associate to join the Clinical Flow Cytometry group to develop and run high-parameter flow cytometry assays for clinical trials. You will work with a team to deliver high-quality data under GCLP guidelines, supporting multiple therapeutic areas and trial decisions.

You will perform ex vivo stimulation, immunophenotyping, and spectral flow cytometry, while ensuring rigorous documentation and assay validation. This role is in-person at Moderna’s site.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Immunology, Life Sciences, Biology, or related field; 3+ years lab experience.
• Direct flow cytometry experience from sample processing and staining through acquisition.
• Experience in a regulated lab is desired.
• Experience with cell culture, ex vivo assays, and cell isolation from tissues.
• Experience in assessing cell-mediated immunity through flow cytometry is desired.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and GraphPad Prism.

Responsibilities

• Execute clinical sample testing under GCLP guidelines.
• High parameter immunophenotyping on PBMCs, whole blood, and tissue samples.
• PBMC isolation and cryopreservation from blood products.
• Run experiments independently from sample prep to acquisition and analyze data (FCSExpress).
• Participate in assay development and validation studies.
• Identify and test emerging laboratory techniques.
• Maintain safe lab practices and environment.
• This position is site-based and not eligible for remote work.
