Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a Senior Staff Pilot Test to lead flight test programs and collaborate with engineering and safety teams to validate aircraft design and performance.

You will build a cadre of experienced test pilots, chair the pilot working group, and guide test planning, training, and governance during SRR, PDR, CDR, FRR, and TRR stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science with 14+ years of experience, or Master’s with 12+ years, or PhD with 10 years for senior level.
• Military Test Pilot School graduate (USNTPS/USAFTPS/Empire/ETPS/EPNER).
• Able to obtain and hold DoD Top Secret clearance and FAA Second Class medical.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain a cadre of skilled test pilots.
• Chair the pilot working group and advise design trades and analysis.
• Lead test planning, flight test techniques, and test reporting across program phases.
