Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Patuxent River, MD, is seeking an ITT Contractor Flight Test Director. The Senior role leads as the site liaison with host squadron leadership and PMA, overseeing flight test planning, execution, and reporting.

Requires a DoD Top Secret clearance, extensive test experience in air vehicles, and ability to support proposals, cost estimates, and schedules. Travel around 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 10 years of related experience.
• DoD Top Secret level security clearance is required.
• Knowledge of flight test planning, safety planning, test operations, and test reporting.
• Strong communication of complex technical issues and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Test and Evaluation Leadership and PM to develop strategies and execute program goals.
• Possess in depth knowledge of air vehicle and mission systems testing.
• Support business development, proposals, schedules and cost estimates, and test reviews.
• Responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance for test activities.
• Manage budgets using EVMS reporting tools and report variances.
