Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Staff Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer. You will lead instrumentation system design, data acquisition, and test activities for airborne platforms.

The role requires advanced STEM degrees with extensive related experience, a TS clearance, and knowledge of telemetry, RF systems, and instrumentation hardware. Collaborative, detail‑oriented work in a dynamic, defense environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher STEM degree with substantial related experience.
• Clearance requirement and readiness to obtain/maintain Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop Flight Test Instrumentation processes and modify electrical/mechanical drawings for instrumentation systems.
• Define instrumentation configurations and signal conditioning for airborne data acquisition hardware/software.
• Perform engineering design tasks and participate in design reviews and procedure writing.
• Design and maintain TTC Airborne Data Acquisition Systems and onboard data monitoring station.
