Job summary
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer (Principal Engineer/Sr Principal Engineer) to join our Melbourne, FL team. You will develop instrumentation drawings and architectures for airborne data acquisition systems, working with a diverse, qualified group in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in a STEM field with years of related experience and an active Secret clearance, with potential to obtain Top Secret.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a STEM field with 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s with 2 years.
- Active US Government Secret clearance (or Continuous Evaluation).
- Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance within a reasonable time.
- Experience in Flight Test environments.
- Solid understanding of data systems, telemetry, RF, onboard recording systems, and ground stations.
Responsibilities
- Define instrumentation system configurations and signal conditioning requirements for airborne data acquisition hardware.
- Monitor and understand instrument configurations; authorize changes and support design reviews, tests, and analyses.
- Develop architectural implementations for TTC Airborne Data Acquisition Systems.
