Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems seeks a Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer in Melbourne, FL to develop instrumentation drawings for flight-test aircraft. The role requires a STEM degree, 5+ years of related experience, and active Secret clearance with Top Secret potential.

It involves telemetry, data systems, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The position offers relocation assistance, travel up to 25%, and a comprehensive benefits package including health and life insurance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with 5+ years related experience, or Master’s with 2+ years.
  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret.
  • Flight-test environment experience and instrumentation test equipment knowledge.
  • Understanding of data systems, telemetry, RF, and data-bus architectures.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD documents and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Define instrumentation configurations and signal conditioning for airborne data acquisition.
  • Monitor instrumentation system configurations and authorize changes, support reviews and procedures.
  • Develop architectural implementations for TTC data systems and coordinate with customers and engineers.
  • Collaborate in a dynamic team to support test, data processing, and post-test analysis.
