Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a Principal Flight Test Instrumentation Mechanical Design Engineer to lead our test & evaluation mechanical design efforts for flight test electronic equipment and sensor integration on test vehicles.

The role focuses on designing cable interfaces, data acquisition hardware, and sensor installations, with responsibilities to coordinate cross-IPT teams and work with vendors. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline (required).
• Active US Government Secret clearance (required or obtainable).
• Experience with flight test mechanical installations and sensor design.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement mechanical solutions for flight test instrumentation from concept to integration.
• Coordinate cross-IPT and supplier activities to deliver hardware.
• Interface with vendors, manufacturers and technicians for fabrication and installation of instrumentation hardware.
