Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to design, develop, and test flight management systems for commercial and defense aircraft. You will collaborate with a diverse team to define requirements, integrate systems, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (SCience/Tech/Engineering/Math) required.
• 6+ years of systems engineering and project leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of systems integration, implementation and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with minimal supervision.
• Experience providing technical leadership on complex engineering projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with relevant technologies and industry trends.
• Knowledge of flight systems and avionics.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop flight management system requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Design and define flight management system architectures and interfaces.
• Perform system integration and testing to ensure compliance with requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support the certification process for flight management systems.
• Provide mentorship and oversight to less-experienced Systems Engineers.
