Job summary

MCSG Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to support NASA GSFC in verifying and validating Flight Software for the STRIVE mission. The role involves planning, developing, executing, and documenting tests to ensure flight software meets mission requirements.

The engineer will collaborate with flight software developers, systems engineers, and integration teams to promote mission readiness in accordance with NASA software engineering standards, primarily on-site at GSFC in

Qualifications

• Experience supporting software verification and validation activities.
• Experience developing and executing software test procedures.
• Familiarity with requirements-based testing and requirements traceability.
• Experience documenting software test results and defect reports.

Responsibilities

• Support verification and validation activities for Flight Software development.
• Participate in unit, integration, and system-level testing of incremental FSW builds.
• Execute software tests in accordance with approved plans and procedures.
• Identify, document, and assist in resolving software defects and anomalies.
• Develop and maintain software test procedures and test cases.
• Execute test procedures within the DS FSW laboratory environment.
• Collect, document, and maintain objective test evidence.
• Verify defect corrections through regression and re-test activities.
• Prepare test reports, test summaries, and verification documentation.
• Support software verification reviews and lifecycle documentation.
• Follow project Configuration Management processes for software test artifacts.
