Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Junior Software Test Engineer based in Fort Belvoir. The role involves testing and validating mission-critical software for Flight Safety operations. You will support integration and verification testing, ensuring reliability and operational readiness of tools used in conjunction assessment and tracking space objects.

Qualified candidates should have a degree and an active TS/SCI clearance. A strong foundation in Bash and Python scripting, along with knowledge of orbital mechanics, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with BS/BA or 3 years with MS/MA.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph.
• Experience in conjunction assessment or flight safety systems desired.

Responsibilities

• Test, validate, and integrate software tools for Flight Safety.
• Develop and document test plans and scenarios.
• Support integration of new data sources within FS systems.
