Job summary

Sierra Space in Colorado is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, develop, and test software for space systems and technologies. You will write clean, scalable code, mentor teammates, and help architect complex software solutions that meet mission requirements.

This senior role requires strong programming skills across languages, experience with Agile processes, and the ability to lead reviews, troubleshoot issues, and document configurations for future missions.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically 5+ years of related experience.
• Expertise in one to multiple programming languages and advanced understanding of software development principles.
• Ability to design and architect complex software systems.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum/Kanban.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide other engineers.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
