Job summary

Gulfstream Savannah is seeking an Onboard Software Validation and Verification Engineer to join the Flight Sciences team. You will help develop and certify safety‑critical software for fly‑by‑wire systems and performance prediction tools used in flight missions.

Key tasks include validating software against DO‑178C/DO‑331 and ARP‑4754, refining requirements, and expanding test frameworks through SIL/HIL and flight testing, in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with related experience.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for model creation and verification.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and OO design principles.
• Familiarity with software testing processes and DO‑178C/ARP‑4754 concepts is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation.
• Understanding of flight control principles and aircraft performance methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and certify safety‑critical onboard software implementing fly‑by‑wire control laws.
• Develop and certify aircraft performance prediction and mission planning software.
• Refine software requirements and apply model‑based design techniques.
• Perform software testing through desktop, SIL, HIL, and flight tests.
• Update simulation models and automation scripts for test labs.
• Validate software compliance with DO‑178C, DO‑331, and ARP‑4754 as required.
• Improve test frameworks and analysis tools, collaborating across teams.
