Job summary

Global Crossing Airlines is seeking a Flight Operations Performance Engineer in Miami, FL. You will lead the operations performance engineering function, owning systems like ACARS, W&B, and fuel efficiency initiatives, while coordinating with vendors and regulatory bodies.

The role requires deep hands-on experience with operational data systems, fuel performance modeling, and FAA EFB program management, supporting safe, efficient charter/cargo flight operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field; equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years airline operations experience; 3+ years in a performance engineering/leadership role.
• Hands-on ACARS configuration and data integration.
• Experience with aviation fuel efficiency programs and FOQA data.
• Experience managing FAA-approved EFB programs under Part 121/135.
• Experience liaising with software vendors and data platforms.
• Proficiency in aviation data analysis and BI tools.
• Strong project management and cross-functional skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication for regulatory docs and briefs.

Responsibilities

• Own the airline's operations performance engineering function and drive a systematic program of efficiency improvements.
• Lead liaison to operational technology vendors and oversee system integration and evaluations.
• Lead fuel efficiency engineering using ACARS data and performance modeling to reduce fuel burn.
• Oversee Weight & Balance systems, ensure FAA compliance, and manage vendor recertifications.
• Oversee ACARS data utilization and integration with dispatch, maintenance, and flight following.
• Develop and maintain a dashboard suite for real-time and trend visibility of key KPIs.
• Collaborate with Flight Operations, Maintenance and Safety for SMS and risk assessments.
• Evaluate and pilot new operational technologies through full implementation lifecycle.
• Provide regulatory documentation and executive briefings.
