Job summary

Charlotte County is seeking a Senior Fleet Technician to perform advanced diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs on a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment. You will troubleshoot engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, HVAC, and 12- to 48‑volt electrical systems using modern diagnostic tools.

The role requires strong documentation, customer service, and the ability to work from detailed electrical schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five (5) years of mechanical repair experience on vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and bumper‑to‑bumper repairs on a diverse fleet of gasoline and diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records and coordinate parts and supplies.
• Provide professional customer service and assist with resolving equipment concerns.
• Participate in rotating after‑hours on‑call to ensure critical vehicles remain ready.
