Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Fleet Technician III to perform advanced, multi-trade refurbishment and repairs on mobile storage equipment in shop and field settings. You will diagnose HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural problems, mentor junior technicians, and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.

You will also document work, coordinate with management, and travel to customer sites for complex repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to diagnose complex, multi-trade issues across mobile storage equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and tool knowledge for refurbishments and repairs.
• Experience reading technical specifications and work instructions.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring of service team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and refurbishments on mobile storage equipment within time and budget.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues; perform complex repairs.
• Lead the service team, guiding workflow, quality, and safety standards.
• Document work orders and materials used via required apps; maintain accurate records.
• Travel to customer sites for advanced repairs and field diagnostics as needed.
