United Rentals is seeking a Fleet Technician - Field Service for Mobile Storage to perform advanced diagnostics and repairs at customer sites, focusing on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and structural issues as the primary on-site representative. The role includes coordinating with customers, making real-time repair decisions, and documenting work orders via mobile apps.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction/equipment maintenance, strong diagnostic skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Trade skill training preferred or equivalent years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, repairing and maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced construction knowledge and background.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and expert tool knowledge.
• Able to read and interpret technical specs and complex work orders.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced diagnostics and repairs at customer sites as on-site representative.
• Perform field diagnostics and repairs, focusing on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues.
• Complete complex service calls with multi-trade troubleshooting.
• Provide technical guidance to other technicians in shop or field.
• Document work orders and materials used via mobile applications.
• Install and service Workplace Ready Solutions at customer sites.
• Ensure safety and quality, following 5S and safety guidelines.
