Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply seeks a Fleet Manager to join our Laurel DC operations. You will lead shipping, receiving, inventory, and fleet coordination, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate outbound documentation.

You will develop frontline leads, monitor KPIs, and drive improvements across all four functions to support a high-volume distribution center. This is a floor-based leadership role with accountability and safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
5+ years of warehouse or distribution operations experience in a leadership role.
Experience coordinating shipping, receiving, inventory, and transportation functions.
Strong knowledge of inventory control, order fulfillment, carrier coordination, and fleet management.
Proficiency with WMS, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
Forklift, pallet jack, and reach truck certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Coordinate outbound fulfillment, ensure accuracy and complete documentation.
Lead and develop a 20-person shipping team with accountability.
Oversee inbound receiving, inventory integrity, and staff coordination.
Coordinate fleet delivery across the DC region and resolve exceptions in real time.
Maintain safe, organized shipping operations and compliance.
Identify process gaps and implement improvement initiatives.
Monitor KPIs and drive corrective actions across departments.
Partner with sales, purchasing, and branches to align operations.
Support coverage across shifts to ensure continuous running.
