Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply is seeking a Fleet Manager to coordinate shipping, receiving, inventory, and fleet at the Laurel DC in the Richmond area. You will lead a 20-person shipping team, drive process improvements, and ensure on-time delivery across multiple regions while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on responsibility for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outbound fulfillment, shipping accuracy, and documentation for all orders.
• Lead a 20-person shipping team including leads and ensure operations run without heroics.
• Coordinate inbound receiving and inventory coordination to prevent bottlenecks and discrepancies.
• Coordinate with dispatch and drivers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve exceptions in real time.
• Develop and coach department leads to ensure continuity across shifts.
