Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply is seeking a Fleet Manager to coordinate shipping, receiving, inventory, and fleet operations at the Laurel DC. You’ll lead a 20-person team, drive performance KPIs, and implement improvements across four functions to ensure on-time, accurate orders.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and safety compliance in a fast-paced distribution center environment in the DC area. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 5+ years in warehouse ops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience leading multiple warehouse functions in a high-volume setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with KPI focus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outbound fulfillment and shipping accuracy across the DC.
• Lead and develop a 20-person shipping team including leads.
• Oversee inbound receiving, inventory, and allocation to prevent bottlenecks.
• Partner with dispatch and branches to resolve delivery exceptions in real time.
• Enforce safety, equipment certification, and process improvements.
