Job summary

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a Texas CDL Class B with P/S endorsements, and TASBT/ASE certifications or the commitment to obtain them within 18 months.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid Texas CDL Class B with P/S endorsements.
• Licenses include TASBT/ASE certifications or the ability to obtain within 18 months.
• Must have a clean driving record and pass safety and drug tests.
• Ability to obtain DOT inspector license and maintain TASBT/ASE certifications.
• Experience with heavy-duty vehicle maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs to district vehicles per established procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical, electrical and electronic issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service records.
• Rotate/balance tires, change oil and filters, inspect hoses and belts.
• Assist with training technicians and adapt to varying shifts.
