Auto Warehousing Company seeks an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of 700+ cargo vans and haul-away rigs across the United States and Canada. The role focuses on procurement, maintenance, licensing, vendor management, and fleet performance to ensure safe, cost-efficient operations.

You will lead maintenance programs, manage service providers, and develop replacement plans in a hybrid work setup with occasional travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in fleet management, transportation, logistics, or related operations.
• Experience managing 500+ vehicles across multiple regions
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Department of Transportation, Transport Canada, and state/provincial regulations
• Experience with fleet management software and telematics platforms
• Proven vendor negotiation and contract management skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret fleet data and KPIs
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead the fleet maintenance program, including preventive schedules, repairs, and inspections.
• Manage breakdown response, roadside assistance, and high-priority repairs across multiple regions.
• Manage fleet service providers and vendor relationships, monitoring service quality and performance.
• Establish processes for vehicle assignment, inspections, maintenance reporting, and issue resolution.
• Develop annual replacement plans based on mileage and total cost of ownership.
• Forecast fleet needs and coordinate large-scale vehicle orders with OEMs and leasing partners.
• Manage capital and operating budgets related to fleet acquisition and maintenance.
• Produce monthly and quarterly fleet performance reports for leadership.
