Job summary

US Foods is seeking a fleet maintenance leader to oversee all aspects of the fleet maintenance function, ensuring a safe shop and working conditions for employees. Lead a culture of safety that keeps drivers, technicians, customers, and the public injury-free.

Interview, hire, train, and evaluate technicians, and schedule schooling and certifications for staff. Responsibilities include maintaining vehicles, documenting certifications, managing warranties and the parts inventory, and developing

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of fleet equipment experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple functions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the fleet maintenance function and ensure safe shop conditions.
• Lead a safety culture to keep drivers, technicians, customers, and the public injury-free.
• Interview, hire, train, and evaluate fleet technicians; schedule schooling and certifications.
• Maintain vehicles and certify conformance with manufacturers' service recommendations.
• Manage purchasing, warranties, and parts inventory; develop yearly budget.
• Coordinate repairs, obtain bids, and support drivers with equipment operation.
