Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Shop Manager to lead the maintenance shop for the fleet and equipment that support transportation, warehousing, and logistics services.

You will drive safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance programs while guiding technicians and maintaining regulatory compliance. Qualifications

• 5+ years in fleet, transportation, or industrial maintenance.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel equipment, trailers, or material handling equipment.
• Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day shop operations including preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and breakdown response.
• Ensure fleet readiness to support transportation, warehousing, and logistics operations.
• Schedule and prioritize work orders to minimize downtime and maximize asset utilization.
• Oversee inventory levels, parts procurement, and vendor relationships.
• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and staff.
• Monitor performance, enforce standards, and support hiring and onboarding as needed.
• Ensure safety compliance with DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, EPA, and company standards.
