Job summary

Blue Bird Corporation is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer (SR FSE) to lead complex diagnostic efforts, manage PLM design and release projects, and mentor junior engineers. You will bridge field and factory engineering, drafting advanced troubleshooting procedures and coordinating with publications teams.

You will influence product reliability, support global fleet initiatives, and travel as needed to support critical customer and fleet needs while ensuring safety and quality standards are

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in automotive-related fields is required or preferred.
8+ years of automotive OEM service support experience.
10+ years school bus or medium duty truck experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead PLM design, root cause analysis, and engineering changes from initiation to implementation.
Mentor junior engineers and establish standardized troubleshooting frameworks.
Develop advanced troubleshooting instructions for field service engineers.
Collaborate with training and technical publications teams to update manuals and content.
Provide leadership to ensure fleet uptime and customer satisfaction.
