Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior/Manager level Fixed Assets & Inventory Accounting Consultant to support Finance during a growth phase. The role is on-site in Sunnyvale, CA, four days per week, for a 3‑month engagement.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of accounting experience with fixed assets and inventory, strong US GAAP knowledge, ERP/Excel proficiency, and a track record of improving asset and inventory processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or inventory‑intensive environments.
• Strong fixed assets and inventory accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial close processes.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory reconciliations and related journal entries.
• Analyze inventory activity, variances, and COGS trends.
• Ensure accurate inventory classification and costing methods.
• Support accounting for freight, allocations, and other costs.
• Manage fixed asset lifecycle including additions, disposals, depreciation, and tracking.
• Maintain fixed asset records and capitalization activities.
• Assist month‑end and quarter‑end close processes.
• Prepare schedules to support audits (internal and external).
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement to improve data accuracy.
• Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
