Job summary

The Intersect Group is seeking a hands-on Fixed Asset Accounting Leader to oversee a $1B+ asset portfolio. You will drive depreciation, CIP, and asset additions/disposals while mentoring four accounting professionals and ensuring tight internal controls.

Ideal candidates have CPA preferred status, 7+ years of accounting experience, and strong US GAAP knowledge. This role supports budgeting, forecasting, and cross-functional policy improvements in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2-3+ years of people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, fixed asset accounting, and internal controls.
• Experience managing high-volume fixed asset portfolios ($1B+ preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead fixed asset accounting activities: additions, disposals, depreciation, construction-in-progress."
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end reporting.
• Partner cross-functionally to improve fixed asset policies and processes.
• Maintain SOX-compliant controls and support audits.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Develop, mentor, and manage a team of four accounting professionals.
