Job summary

The Intersect Group in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a hands-on Manager of Fixed Asset Accounting to lead a $1B+ asset portfolio and drive process improvements. You will oversee depreciation, additions, disposals, and construction-in-progress while mentoring a team of four accountants.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of accounting experience, a strong grasp of US GAAP, internal controls, and ERP systems, with CPA preferred and SEC reporting experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2-3+ years of people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, fixed asset accounting, and internal controls.
• Experience managing high-volume fixed asset portfolios ($1B+ preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience required.
• SEC reporting experience is a plus.
• Retail, grocery, or restaurant industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead fixed asset accounting activities, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and construction-in-progress accounting.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and period-end reporting.
• Partner cross-functionally to establish and improve fixed asset policies, processes, and best practices.
• Maintain SOX-compliant controls and support internal and external audits.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
• Develop, mentor, and manage a team of four accounting professionals.
