Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno seeks a Fiscal Officer for the College of Engineering to provide fiscal leadership, strategic financial planning, and budget oversight in a state-funded environment. The role reports to the Dean and leads fiscal staff, ensuring compliance and data-driven decision support.

Responsibilities include developing long-term financial strategies, managing multiple funding sources, advising senior leaders, and guiding operations to advance the college's priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Higher Education Administration, or a related field and four (4) years of related professional experience; OR
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Higher Education Administration, or a related field and two (2) years of related professional experience

Responsibilities

• Provide fiscal leadership and administrative support to the College of Engineering.
• Oversee complex budgets and multiple funding sources with compliance.
• Develop and implement long-term financial strategies and data-driven recommendations.
• Lead fiscal staff and establish effective business processes.
• Advise college leadership on financial sustainability and resource allocation.
