Job summary

City of Raleigh seeks a fiscal leader for the parking division to develop and monitor budgets, forecast trends, and prepare detailed financial reports. You will supervise one staff member, advise on financial impacts, and ensure compliance with policies while optimizing resource allocation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of financial analysis and budgeting experience, and a proven ability to lead and improve processes in a city environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field; 3–5 years of financial analysis, budgeting, data analysis or related experience.
• Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience may be substituted
• Strong problem-solving, initiative, and leadership capabilities

Responsibilities

• Coordinates budget management for assigned areas; creates budget spreadsheets and provides analysis for management.
• Performs analysis/audits of financial information for accuracy and compliance; prepares recommendations
• Responds to inquiries regarding finance/procurement processes and analyzes departmental budget/spending
• Monitors fiscal accounting procedures and reconciliations; identifies discrepancies and coordinates problem resolution
• Oversees division contracts, drafts agreements, tracks contracts and manages contract administration
