Job summary

City of Raleigh seeks a fiscal leader for the parking division to develop and monitor budgets, forecast financial trends, prepare detailed reports, and manage division contracts. You will supervise one staff member and advise leadership on financial impacts.

The role requires a degree in business/finance and 3–5 years in financial analysis or budgeting, with a proven track record of accuracy and initiative. Collaboration across departments to optimize resources and ensure compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years' experience in financial analysis, budgeting, data analysis, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of training and/or experience may be substituted

Responsibilities

• Coordinates budget management for assigned areas; processing budget transfers and amendments, creating budget spreadsheets, and providing usage and needs analysis for management and unit supervisors
• Performs analysis, reviews and/or audits of financial information to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations and requirements. Provides summary reporting and prepares recommendations based on findings
• Responds to inquiries regarding finance/procurement processes. Provides information and analysis of departmental budget and spending, as requested by internal and external stakeholders
• Monitors and administers fiscal accounting procedures, processes, transactions and/or system interfaces. Identifies discrepancies, variances and financial irregularities; performs reconciliations; analyzes issues, and recommends and coordinates problem resolution with staff, vendors and/or other operational stakeholders
• Oversees all division contracts, including drafting new agreements, tracking existing contracts, and managing overall contract administration
