Job summary

Form Energy is hiring a Senior Test Engineer to accelerate the validation and safety certification of our multi-day energy storage technology. This role reports into the manager of the Test Software team and collaborates with firmware, hardware and compliance teams to develop robust test frameworks.

Relocation assistance is available. You will develop test cases for UL1998, review firmware, and build artifacts that document safety requirements and the linkages to tests.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software testing, firmware validation, or test systems development.
• Experience guiding safety-critical projects through UL1998 certification lifecycle.
• Proficiency in low-level firmware environments, reading embedded architectures, and developing test code in C and Python.
• Experience developing hardware test fixtures, instrumentation setups, and automated test benches.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills translating regulatory requirements into deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Architect and execute test cases to secure UL1998 certification and harden bootloaders.
• Review firmware implementations, and proactively identify testing optimizations early in the development lifecycle.
• Document the linkages between safety requirements and test executions to generate compliance artifacts.
