You’ll work on CAN/CANopen communications, multi‑cell monitoring, and UL certification related tasks while partnering with senior firmware engineers in a lab setting near your desk.

Qualifications

• 2+ years producing embedded firmware in C for ARM Cortex‑M microcontrollers.
• Hands‑on experience configuring MCU peripherals: ADC, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, DMA, timers, GPIO.
• Ability to read schematics, datasheets and reference manuals and reconcile conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain BMS firmware in C on STM32 Arm Cortex‑M platforms for safety‑critical battery applications.
• Develop and test peripheral drivers (ADC, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, DMA, timers, GPIO).
• Integrate multi‑cell battery monitoring front ends for cell voltage, temperature, and current measurement.
• Implement protection features to specification and prove trip behavior on the bench.
• Develop CAN/CANopen communication firmware for pack‑to‑host telemetry and command handling.
• Support board bring‑up and hardware/firmware integration issues with the hardware team.
• Write unit tests and on‑target tests for nominal and fault paths.
• Instrument and debug firmware on hardware using SWD/JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes.
• Document design descriptions, interfaces, and test procedures; participate in code reviews.
