Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Principal Test Development Engineer to lead firmware validation for NVMe front-end features, shaping verification strategy, and driving automation and quality across multiple SSD programs.

You will architect scalable Python-based testing frameworks, integrate CI/CD, perform root-cause analysis with traces and logs, and mentor engineers while collaborating with firmware architects to improve testability using AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong hands-on Python programming experience for test automation.
• Extensive experience validating NVMe front-end features and performing failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification strategy, test planning, automation, and coverage for NVMe front-end firmware features across product lines.
• Architect and enhance scalable Python-based test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
• Drive root-cause analysis using traces, logs, and structured debugging methodologies.
• Define validation standards, review test code, and mentor engineers in automation practices.
• Collaborate with firmware architects and cross-functional teams to influence testability and leverage AI-enabled workflows.
