Job summary

Micron Technology, a world leader in memory and storage solutions, seeks a Sr. Engineer (E3) on the FPT team to validate enterprise SSD firmware. You will develop tests, automate validation with Python, and analyze failures, focusing on NVMe front-end features and customer specs.

Collaborate with firmware engineers, data scientists, and AI/ML teams to build scalable testing solutions and drive quality and efficiency in a fast-paced hardware validation environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher in CS/Data Science/EE or related field.
Proficient in Python for automation and data analysis (NumPy/pandas).
Strong software testing fundamentals and automation experience.
Analytical with ability to investigate issues and interpret data.
Interest or experience in AI, LLMs, or AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute firmware verification plans for NVMe front-end features.
Create and maintain automated test solutions using Python.
Apply white/grey/black-box testing methodologies.
Investigate failures and perform root-cause analysis with teams.
Communicate results and metrics to stakeholders.
Collaborate on AI-assisted automation and anomaly detection.
