Job summary
Micron Technology is seeking a Principal Test Development Engineer to steer front-end firmware validation for enterprise SSDs. You will own the verification strategy for NVMe front-end features, develop automation frameworks, and mentor engineers while influencing testability decisions across firmware architectures.
You will drive AI-enabled validation workflows, implement data analytics for optimization, and oversee CI/CD driven test infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/EE or related field with relevant experience.
- Expert-level Python and production-grade test automation experience.
- Strong NVMe front-end validation and failure analysis expertise.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of firmware verification strategies for NVMe front-end features.
- Own end-to-end test development lifecycle from planning to coverage closure.
- Drive root-cause analysis for field and regression failures with systematic debug methods.
- Architect and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and CI/CD integrations.
- Lead failure analysis, correlating tests with firmware behavior to identify root causes.
- Present findings and validation status to cross-functional teams.
