Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Sr. Engineer (E3) to validate enterprise SSD firmware, focusing on NVMe front-end features with Python automation. You will collaborate with firmware engineers, data scientists, and AI/ML practitioners to build scalable testing solutions and drive quality improvements.

We value experience in firmware verification, test automation, and AI-enabled workflows, with a strong emphasis on regression efficiency and cross‑functional collaboration at Micron’s U.S. operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field (3+ years) or a Master’s degree.
Strong Python for automation, data analysis with NumPy and pandas.
Solid software testing fundamentals: automation, debugging, validation.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute firmware verification plans for enterprise SSD customer specs and NVMe front-end features.
Design, implement, and maintain automated test solutions using Python and FPT frameworks.
Apply white/grey/black‑box testing to validate firmware functionality, reliability, and robustness.
Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, document findings with cross‑functional teams.
Communicate validation results and risks to stakeholders and management.
Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement to enhance automation quality.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate test creation, debugging, reporting.
Collaborate with firmware engineers, data scientists, and AI/ML practitioners on intelligent automation.
