Job summary

Global IID Parent LLC is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to drive embedded software architecture and deliver production-ready firmware across devices. You will own complex firmware initiatives, collaborate with hardware and test teams, and help elevate engineering standards in a hybrid work setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, systems thinking, and long-term product reliability with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of embedded systems development experience.
Advanced proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming.
Experience with RTOS environments and real-time systems.
Experience with hardware/software integration and debugging.
Experience testing PCBAs and components.
Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and test specs.
Python for test automation and data collection.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded software and device drivers in C/C++ for production hardware.
Architect firmware for RTOS-based real-time systems and event-driven design.
Lead communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Bluetooth).
Develop and optimize software for displays, sensors, and control systems.
Interpret schematics and hardware specs for software decisions and integration.
Use lab equipment to debug, validate, and perform root-cause analysis.
Develop Python scripts, utilities, and test frameworks for firmware workflows.
Design and execute functional tests for PCBs and components.
Perform board-level troubleshooting to isolate failures.
