Job summary

Entrust Corporation seeks a Firmware Engineer II to join our product development team in Minnesota. You will design real-time embedded software for control systems in complex machines and contribute across requirements, design, coding, and testing cycles.

The role involves collaboration with hardware, software, and cross-functional teams to ensure high security and performance. A bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in embedded development is required; options for hybrid/remote work are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years’ embedded software hardware or firmware in product development
• 2+ years’ experience with C++ and/or C in embedded environments
• Experience with VxWorks, Zephyr, or embedded Linux
• Unrestricted US work authorization

Responsibilities

• Real-time embedded system software design for control systems in complex machines
• Develop requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of embedded software
• Participate in design and code reviews, hardware/software integration and testing
• Understand and perform design trade‑offs in a collaborative team
• Provide schedule input and communicate status to management and peers
• Develop or maintain policies, practices, and standards
• Continuously improve processes to enable team efficiencies
• Resolve product issues through evaluation, code changes, testing, and coordination with support
