Anduril Industries in Irvine seeks a Software Engineer with a focus in Firmware to maintain and extend firmware for Sentry Tower systems. You will work across sensor boards, motor controllers, and power hardware, collaborating with hardware and software teams to ensure reliable operation in field conditions.

The role emphasizes working within an existing firmware platform, tackling specialized projects, and prioritizing correctness and security due to field deployments.

Competenze

• 4+ years of firmware development using C with Rust interest or memory-safe focus.
• Strong understanding of ARM and RISC-V microcontroller architectures.
• Hands-on embedded security experience: secure boot, signed/verified firmware updates, key storage.
• Proficiency in low-level networking: TCP/IP, CAN, SPI, I2C.
• Experience with RTOS and bare-metal programming.
• Familiarity with debugging tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Solid understanding of computer architecture and memory management.
• US person status required, with eligibility for US security clearance.

Mansioni

• Develop and extend firmware running on sensor boards, motor controllers, and power hardware in Sentry Tower products.
• Take on projects that build on top of the existing firmware baselayer without regressing deployed towers.
• Harden firmware security: authenticated/verified updates, secure interfaces, protect against physical tampering.
• Own firmware update path, including safe updates for units in the field.
• Collaborate with tower software teams on the firmware–services boundary for diagnostics.
• Work with hardware engineers on board bring-up from power-on to production-ready boards.
