The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a System Engineer III, Firewalls to join Information Solutions. You will administer firewalls, patch systems, configure VPNs, manage IPs, and ensure secure network architecture across our academic, research and clinical missions.

As a subject matter expert, you will resolve complex issues, mentor staff, and drive efficient change with a focus on customer service and timely resolution of network problems.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree and five years directly related experience; or a high school diploma and nine years directly related experience; or a Masters’ degree and 3 years directly related experience required.
• 7+ years of Network experience is preferred.
• Experience in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network security devices.

Responsabilités

• Lead firewall administration, patching, and VPN configuration.
• Provide expert analysis for network security design and troubleshooting.
• Takes a lead role in projects and mentors peers.
• Produce documentation and processes to support changes in network design and operations.
