Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking a Lead Firearms Instructor to serve as the on-site training manager for the FFDO program, conducting classroom instruction, safety briefs, and ensuring instructor ratios. You will verify weapons and credentials, manage training supplies, and secure SSI/SPII information during and after sessions.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of firearms training, and must complete recognized federal instructor programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of firearms training experience.
• US citizenship not required for this role, per posting.
• Completion of recognized federal firearms instructor programs is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Firearms Instructors are the first contact at the training venue for FFDOs and oversee check-in, credential verification, and training.
• Ensure safety on the range and proper scoring of targets; maintain instructor/student ratios (1:6).
• Manage inventory of training supplies and secure SSI/SPII information during and after sessions.
• Sign and certify qualification scores and coordinate with TSA/FAMS for equipment returns when needed.
