Job summary

General Dynamics IT seeks a Lead Firearms Instructor (LFI) to join the Federal Flight Deck Officers program. You will be the on-site training manager, handle check-ins, verify weapons and credentials, conduct classroom instruction, and ensure proper scoring and data collection for each requalification session.

The role requires 5+ years of firearms training experience, federal program exposure, and strict adherence to SSI/SPII security policies and safety procedures at the range.

Qualifications

• Current or former federal law enforcement officer, or civilian with recognized federal firearms instructor training program.
• Two to three days firearms re-qualification training under direction of TSA/FAMS and FFDO Program Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead Firearms Instructors (LFIs) are the first point of contact for FFDOs at the training venue and verify credentials.
• Ensure safety on the range, oversee the course of fire, and certify qualification scores for FFDOs.
