Job summary

General Dynamics IT in Sandy, UT is seeking a Lead Firearms Instructor to oversee classroom instruction, verify credentials, and ensure safety during FFDO requalification sessions. You will coordinate on-site training, manage equipment, and enforce security policies for SSI and SPII information.

As the LFI, you’ll maintain instructor-to-student ratios, certify scores, and report training data while coordinating with TSA/FAMS and program offices to uphold compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of firearms training experience.
• Must be a current or former federal law enforcement agent or civilian with recognized firearm instructor training.
• Successful completion of a security/background check prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom instruction and on-site training for FFDO requalification.
• Verify weapons and credentials; ensure safety and proper scoring of targets.
• Maintain instructor/student ratios and secure SSI/SPII information during sessions.
