Job summary

Prince George’s County Government’s Police Department seeks qualified applicants for Firearms and Currency Custody Supervisor (Supply Property Clerk 4P) in the Evidence & Property Division. This first-line supervisory role oversees inventory control, property handling, and 기록keeping within a large security-focused environment.

The incumbent will manage staff, maintain compliance with retention schedules, and ensure safe operations, with emphasis on firearms and asset custody.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a Supply/Property Clerk III.
• High school diploma or GED; or three years of related procurement/materiel management experience.
• Equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience may be considered.
• Preferred: experience with RMS, NCIC and METERS; some supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities related to collection, storage, retrieval, release and purging of property.
• Ensure adequate staffing and training for property operations.
• Maintain accurate records of held property and all property transactions.
• Verify eligibility of property to be purged per retention schedule and SOPs.
• Prepare paperwork for property removal from the warehouse and ensure safety.
