Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Engineer III in the Mission Critical practice. The role designs building systems, prepares design documents, and mentors junior staff. Candidates should have a PE license, a mechanical or fire protection engineering background, and strong proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 6 years of relevant experience or 8 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• PE license required and may count toward 1 year of relevant experience.
• FE exam completion preferred.
• Certifications aligned with sustainability (e.g., LEED, WELL) preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu required.

Responsibilities

• Performs calculations and designs basic to advanced engineering systems with a high degree of independence.
• Prepares basic to advanced system layouts, detailed drawings and schematics.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
• Prepares, reviews, and/or modifies reports, plans and designs for projects.
• Provides technical guidance to others and serves as a team leader.
• Performs research and makes recommendations on feasibility of systems or equipment.
