Job summary

Henderson Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Engineer III in our Mission Critical practice. The role designs building systems, prepares design documents, and performs calculations with project teams.

The candidate may mentor junior designers and contribute to project management tasks, while maintaining client relationships. Responsibilities include preparing layouts, reviewing drawings, and guiding others in engineering workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 6+ years of relevant experience; PE license preferred
• FE exam completed is a plus
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design, codes, and A&E industry standards

Responsibilities

• Design basic to advanced building systems and prepare design documents
• Mentor and lead less experienced designers
• Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specs
• Assist with project management tasks and coordinate with stakeholders
• Develop and maintain client relationships and pursue opportunities
• Ensure project delivery aligns with Henderson's guidelines and standards
• Utilize Revit and Bluebeam Revu to produce drawings and reports
• Collaborate with owners, architects, and contractors to resolve issues
