Job summary

Jensen Hughes is expanding its fire protection engineering practice across major U.S. offices. The Senior Fire Protection Engineer will lead design teams, coordinate code reviews, and develop performance-based solutions for complex projects in a hybrid in-office/remote environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in fire protection, code consulting, and life-safety design, plus a PE or equivalent. Excellent communication and business development skills are valued as part of project leadership.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in code consulting, design of fire suppression and alarm systems, and performance-based design (PBD) with egress modeling.
Experience with AHJ plan reviews and fire + life safety building commissioning.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (preferably fire protection) or related field; professional designation preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage and implement a wide variety of fire protection engineering design and consulting projects.
Satisfy client needs by completing tasks on schedule and within budget.
Coordinate building and fire code reviews and site visits; prepare and peer review technical reports.
