Job summary

Jensen Hughes in Concord, CA is seeking two mid-level or senior Fire Protection Engineers to work directly with clients and perform their own technical work as a Seller-Doer.

Relocation assistance will be provided. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Fire Protection preferred) and 8+ years in Building Code/Fire Protection Consulting are required; a PE license or NICET Level IV is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Fire Protection preferred) or related field.
• 8+ years of Building Code and Fire Protection Consulting experience.
• PE license in Fire Protection or NICET Level IV desirable.
• Strong client development and business growth capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with building code concepts, plan reviews, and field inspections.

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement a wide variety of consulting projects.
• Satisfy client needs and expectations by completing tasks on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate and conduct building and fire code reviews and site visits.
• Prepare and peer review project-related technical reports.
• Develop fire protection strategies and design approaches.
