Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Civil or Architectural Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years' experience in Fire Protection Engineering.
• Desire to develop new business and client connections (Doer Seller).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with building code concepts, plan reviews, and field reviews/inspections.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional-level fire protection engineering services (life safety, sprinkler, fire alarm, performance-based design).
• Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports.
• Assist in resolving design problems including field investigations and coordination.
• Identify applicable codes and standards for inquiries.
• Conduct building code analyses, egress analyses, fire detection and alarm reviews, smoke control reviews, and hydraulic calculations.
• Apply engineering calculations for means of egress, sprinkler density, and water supplies.
• Submit progress reports to Project Managers.
• Communicate effectively with project teams and clients.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and initiative.
