Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, seeks a Fire Project Manager to lead fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects from planning through closeout. You will ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule, within scope, and with strong attention to customer satisfaction, quality, and financial performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of installation experience in Fire, Electrical, or Security systems.
• PMP certification to be obtained within two years of employment.
• NICET Level II to be obtained within one year of employment.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel and Project.
• Ability to create Excel spreadsheets, reference data across spreadsheets, and create macros.
• Availability for frequent local travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects through all phases of execution.
• Establish local project offices and coordinate scope, risk, methodology, and resource planning.
• Manage schedules, costs, safety, quality, and customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate work from design and permitting through material delivery, labor scheduling, and field installation.
• Facilitate Work in Progress meetings, status reviews, and issue resolution with internal teams and customers.
• Support change order processing and look for opportunities to improve project margin.
• Ensure projects are completed in alignment with company standards, customer requirements, published codes, standards, unique specifications, and AHJ requirements.
